Jason Westphal - Chef De Cuisine
Jason Westphal’s love for cooking started at an early age. Jason’s family would have the greatest influence on his decision to pursue a culinary career. As a child, Jason’s grandparents traveled to exotic locales and returned with ingredients that would later influence his style of cooking. Like many great chefs, Jason’s father was the driving force behind his passion in the kitchen.
Jason’s honed his skills early on at the critically acclaimed “Moxie the Restaurant” in Beachwood, Ohio. Jason perfected his craft alongside highly revered Chef Jonathan Bennett. Jason persevered through the ranks and his natural talent was obvious. Soon, he was promoted to Sous Chef at Moxie's sister restaurant, “Red, the Steakhouse” in Cleveland. Jason helped establish this new venture, helping to earn a James Beard award as one of the top ten steak restaurants in the U.S.
Jason’s great success opened doors to his next venture, this time as Executive Sous Chef at “Red, the Steakhouse” in South Beach, Miami. Jason quickly adapted to the warm and exciting South Florida culinary scene, also working with Chef Simon Stojanovic at the prestigious Altamare Restaurant - known for its over-the-top
local seafood.
Jason’s love for warm weather and ocean fare was a driving force when he was recruited by Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Joining the culinary team at the coveted Ocean Key Resort & Spa in Key West, Jason oversees the kitchen at the wildly popular Hot Tin Roof waterfront restaurant. Jason has found his culinary home on the water, where locals and tourists alike come to experience his award winning creations.
