Most of the tours are round trip with many stops. Want to visit at one of the stops? With some of the tours, you can get off and visit a while, then catch the next alike train or trolley that dropped you off, and continue your tour, stopping to visit when needed on your way back to where you began your Key West tour.

Key West Aquarium

The oldest attraction on the island, the Key West Aquarium is a modest but fascinating exhibit. A long hallway of eye-level displays showcases dozens of varieties of fish and crustaceans.

You'll see delicate sea horses swaying in the backlit tanks. Kids can touch sea cucumbers and sea anemones in a shallow tank in the entryway. If you can, catch one of the free guided tours, where you can witness the dramatic feeding frenzy of the sharks, tarpon, barracudas, stingrays, and turtles. Expect to spend about 1 to 1 1/2 hours here.

Mallory Square

Located by the historic Key West waterfront, and within view of The Ocean Key Resort & Spa, this open-air marketplace and entertainment complex is a great place to start or end your visit to Key West. Known for its magnificent sunsets, the area is also home to many shops, including Shell Warehouse, Key West Sponge Market and Caribbean Cargo.

The Square also features daily entertainment, which includes guitar music, juggling, and animal performances. Local sightseeing tours also depart from the Square. Call for additional information 305 296 4557.

33rd ANNUAL HEMINGWAY DAYS

Date: July 16-21, 2013
Whether composing novels in his Whitehead Street writing studio or fishing for big game in local waters, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ernest Hemingway left a powerful legacy in Key West. His zest for life, literary accomplishments and enduring affection for the island he called home throughout the 1930s are to be commemorated Tuesday through Sunday, July 16-21, 2013, during the annual Hemingway Days celebration.

Scheduled events include a look-alike contest for stocky white-bearded men resembling Hemingway, readings and book signings, an awards ceremony for the renowned literary competition directed by author and Hemingway granddaughter Lorian Hemingway, a commemoration of the 114th anniversary of Ernest's July 21 birth, a one-man play exploring the literary legend's life and motivations, a museum exhibit of rare Hemingway memorabilia, a zany "Running of the Bulls" and a three-day marlin tournament recalling Hemingway's devotion to the deep-sea sport.

Key West Lobster Mini Season
Location: Area Waters

Every July the coastal areas of Florida are flooded with lobster hunters trying to get their share of this year's bounty when the official mini lobster season kicks off. There are two Florida Lobster Seasons, the 2 day mini season and the 8 month regular lobster season. The mini lobster season is always the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday in July. This year the mini season falls on July 24th and 25th. Make sure to always verify dates and regulations with Florida Fish and Wildlife It begins at 12:01 am on Wednesday and ends at 12:00 midnight on Thursday.




Key West Lobster Fest

Every year we celebrate the opening of Lobster Season by throwing the biggest party of the summer. Thousands of lobster lovers descend on Key West for four glorious days and nights. Events include the Duval Crawl on Friday night, a Free concert and Street Fair on Saturday and a decadent Sunday Brunch.

Key West Poker Run (Bike Week)

The best motorcycle ride in the tropics on one of America’s most scenic highways US Highway is in the Florida Keys. Known in Monroe County , Florida as the Overseas Highway, it stretches over 100 miles from Miami, Florida to Key West, Florida. With over 40 bridges, including the infamous Seven Mile Bridge. With the Atlantic Ocean on one side of the highway and Florida Bay / Gulf of Mexico on the other side, this is a great ride by two or four wheels. It is not a ride that you want to end, the enjoyment is in the view, the ocean breeze and the colorful stops along the way.  Once in Key West enjoy one big street party and camaraderie galore.
