Key West Beaches

The best beaches in South Florida are Key West beaches!

Get ready to soak up some South Florida sun on the beaches of Key West! Be sure to spend some quality time on one (or more!) of the beautiful and eclectic beaches in Key West. With something unique to offer, each beach in the Florida Keys is where vacation memories are made.

Smathers Beach

Craving a white sand beach and turquoise water? You have to visit Key West’s longest beach. Lined with coconut trees, this beach has something for everyone. From volleyball to simply soaking up some rays, from kayaking to paddle boarding to snorkeling and more. Activities abound at Smathers Beach; you may end up extending your stay!

Bahia Honda State Park

Bahia Honda State Park is located in the shadow of The Seven Mile Bridge. From this pristine location, you'll be able to enjoy the crystal blue waters and warm breezes. Bring your bathing suit and that book you’ve been wanting to read and relax at what Conde Nast once called the “best beach in the continental US”. Camping is available, along with other activities.

Higgs Beach Park

Higgs Beach Park is home to the only shore-accessible underwater marine park in the United States. It is also home to a Civil War era fort. To make the beach even more enjoyable is the beachside Children’s Playground and secure dog runs, offering entertainment to every member of your family. The White Street Pier stretches out almost ¼ mile over the Atlantic. This fishing pier is often referred to as the “Road to Cuba”.

Key West Dog Beach

Don't leave your four-legged friend behind when you hit the beach in Key West. At the Key West dog beach, you can have your sun and puppy too! The best part of the Key West dog beach is that it's a no-leash beach where dogs can race around unleashed. Fido will have a blast frolicking in the surf and meeting up with other vacationing pups.

Fort Zachary Taylor

Fort Zachary Taylor, built in the mid-1800s, is Florida’s southernmost state park. Known by the locals as “Fort Zach”, this natural Key West beach with its mild currents is a favorite for swimming and snorkeling. The waters around Fort Zach are considered some of the best for beach scuba diving in the Florida Keys. You'll also find nature trails and picnicking areas here.

Key West Truman Annex Beach

Offering remarkable sunset views, this is one of our favorite Key West beaches! What do you get when you add together warm sand, grassy relaxation areas, a kids playground, a snack bar, and easy shower access? A truly great Key West family beach.

South Beach

Not to be confused Miami's South Beach, we have a South Beach located in the heart of Old Key West. Relax in true Keys style in South Beach, with endless ocean views and a beachside bar. Home of the Southernmost Marker Buoy, be sure to snap a selfie before soaking up the Florida sun. Leave your cares and your tan lines behind, as tops are optional at this Key West beach. But please, remember the sunscreen!
