From Miami & Ft. Lauderdale

An alternative to flying directly to Key West is to fly to Miami or Ft Lauderdale and drive down. The distance from Miami Airport is only 154 miles, but plan to take at least 3 hours to enjoy what has been called the most scenic highway in America. 

Take the Florida Turnpike South to Exit 4 Homestead/ Key West. This exit will drop you onto US 1 in Florida City. You will be on US 1 the rest of trip to Key West.

Once you get to Key West, take the right hand lane onto Roosevelt Boulevard, following the edge of the island until you get to Garrison Bight.

Turn right on Palm Avenue and continue over the harbor to Duval Street in the heart of Old Town.

Turn right again and go to the end.

Ocean Key is the last building on the left before the Gulf of Mexico.

From North Florida to Keys West

Take the Florida Turnpike south along the east coast down to Exit 4 Homestead/Key West. This is the Turnpike Extension that meets US 1 in Florida City, which takes you to Key Largo, some 22 minutes south. 

From the west, come across I-75 (Alligator Alley) to the Miami exit and south to the Turnpike Extension.

Once you get to Key West, take the right hand lane onto Roosevelt Boulevard, following the edge of the island until you get to Garrison Bight.

Turn right on Palm Avenue and continue over the harbor to Duval Street in the heart of Old Town. 

Turn right again and go to the end. Ocean Key is the last building on the left before the Gulf of Mexico.

From Miami Airport

From Miami International Airport, take LeJeune Road south to 836 West, going to Turnpike Extension, south to US 1 and to the Keys. 

Once you get to Key West, take the right hand lane onto Roosevelt Boulevard, following the edge of the island until you get to Garrison Bight.

Turn right on Palm Avenue and continue over the harbor to Duval Street in the heart of Old Town.

Turn right again and go to the end. Ocean Key is the last building on the left before the Gulf of Mexico.

From Key West Airport

From Key West International Airport, head southwest on Faraldo Circle toward Nancy Cherry Lane.

Turn right on S Roosevelt Boulevard. Continue on Bertha Street and turn left onto Flagler Avenue. 

Take the first right onto 1st Street and continue onto Palm Avenue Causeway.

Continue onto Palm Avenue and take a slight left onto Eaton Street. Turn right onto Duval Street.

Ocean Key is the last building on the left before the Gulf of Mexico.
