~Key West Haute Spot for Fun, Sun and Sand(wiches)~
Key West, Fla. (August 14, 2008) – This September, Ocean Key Resort’s Sunset Pier will debut new menu items on local favorite, Cole’s Peace Artisan Bakery breads. The move signifies a nod towards heartier, hand-crafted offerings on this already popular menu.
Cole’s Peace creates crusty loaves of hand-crafted breads—each one a culmination of careful, patient steps. Untreated flours, whole grains and live leavening cultures are mixed, shaped and allowed to slowly rise into individual and edible works of art.
Available for lunch or dinner, some sandwich highlights are:
• The Ringer
Angus burger with Heineken onion rings, Colby jack cheese and three pepper emulsion
• Sunset Chicken
Grilled chicken breast, honey cured ham, pineapple salsa and Swiss cheese
• Mojito Chicken
Grilled chicken breast, Mojito marinated, bacon and cheddar cheese
• High 5 Mahi
Mahi filet, five spice glaze, mandarin oranges and Wakami seaweed salad
• Gang Buster
Salami, ham, mozzarella, olive tapenade and whipped fig vinegar
• Soft Shell Crab
Blue crab, old bay aioli, Chesapeake slaw
• Truben
Corned beef, Swiss cheese, key lime island dressing, and mango
• Veggie Wrap
Chipotle white bean hummus, artichokes, hearts of palm, baby greens and feta cheese
“Cole’s Peace is a favorite in the community,” states Matt Trahan, general manager. “Cole’s is a Key West only thing. A Conch Republic treat for those in the know and we are proud to offer it on our Sunset Pier menu.”
